What is Clash Verge Rev?

Clash Verge Rev is one of the most popular Clash GUI clients. Based on the Tauri framework and the Clash Meta (Mihomo) core, it supports Windows, macOS, and Linux. Unlike the discontinued Clash for Windows, Clash Verge Rev is actively updated, feature-rich, and modern.

It supports all mainstream proxy protocols including Shadowsocks, VMess, Trojan, Hysteria2, TUIC, and Reality. It features built-in subscription management, rule-based split tunneling, and TUN mode global proxying. Whether you are a first-time user or migrating from an older client, Clash Verge Rev is the most recommended choice.

Download & Installation

Windows Installation

Visit the Clash Verge Rev GitHub Releases page to download the latest version. Windows users should choose the installer ending in -x64-setup.exe (64-bit systems) or -arm64-setup.exe for ARM processors.

  • Download the clash-verge-rev_x.x.x_x64-setup.exe installer
  • Double-click to run the installer and follow the prompts (default path is fine)
  • Once installed, find and launch Clash Verge Rev from your desktop or Start menu
  • The program will automatically download the Clash Meta core on the first launch. Please maintain an active internet connection and wait for it to complete.
⚠️

Windows may display a "Windows Defender SmartScreen" warning. Click "More info" → "Run anyway" to continue installation. This is normal and does not affect security.

macOS Installation

macOS users should choose the version for their chip: aarch64.dmg for Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3 series) or x64.dmg for Intel processors.

  • Download the .dmg file for your version
  • Open the DMG file and drag Clash Verge Rev to the "Applications" folder
  • On first launch, macOS will show an "Unknown Developer" prompt. Go to "System Settings → Privacy & Security" and click "Open Anyway."
  • After the app starts, it will also automatically download the Clash Meta core.

Import Subscription Link

A subscription link is the core entry point for node information from your provider. Log in to your provider's console, find the "Subscription Link" or "Clash Config" option, and copy your exclusive URL.

💡

Ensure you copy a Clash-format subscription link (usually containing the keyword clash or returning YAML content), rather than a generic Base64 link.

After obtaining the URL, import it into Clash Verge Rev using these steps:

  • Open Clash Verge Rev and click the "Profiles" tab on the left.
  • Click "New" in the top right or the input box and paste your subscription link.
  • Give the subscription a name (e.g., "My Provider") and click "Import."
  • Wait for the download to complete; the subscription will appear in the list upon success.
  • Click the "Use" button on the right side of the profile to make it the active configuration.

Select Proxy Node

Once the config is imported, go to the "Proxies" page to see all nodes provided by your service, usually grouped by region or line. Clash Verge Rev supports various selection strategies:

  • Auto Select: Automatically tests speed and selects the lowest-latency node—recommended for daily use.
  • Manual Selection: Manually specify a node by clicking it—ideal for when you need a specific region.
  • Load Balance: Distributes traffic across multiple nodes to increase throughput.

We recommend clicking the "Latency Test" button (lightning bolt icon) to test all nodes and selecting one with latency below 100ms for the best experience.

Set Proxy Mode

Clash Verge Rev offers three proxy modes, switchable at the top of the main interface:

  • Rule Mode: Intelligent split tunneling based on built-in rules—local traffic connects directly, while international traffic uses the proxy. This is the most recommended mode.
  • Global Mode: All traffic goes through the proxy—useful for troubleshooting specific issues.
  • Direct Mode: All traffic connects directly, equivalent to turning off the proxy.

For most users, "Rule Mode" is ideal for daily use: local websites connect normally, while international sites use the proxy automatically.

Enable TUN Mode (Optional)

The default System Proxy mode only affects HTTP/HTTPS traffic. TUN Mode takes over all traffic at the network interface level (including games and CLI tools), achieving true transparent proxying. Enable it as follows:

  • Click the "Settings" tab on the left.
  • Find the "TUN Mode" switch and toggle it on.
  • The system will prompt for administrator privileges; click confirm.
  • Once the switch turns green, TUN Mode is active.

Once TUN Mode is enabled, verify by running ping 8.8.8.8 in Terminal. If the request returns via the proxy node, the config is correct.

Configure Start on Boot

To let the proxy run automatically when your computer starts, enable the "Launch on Boot" feature in Settings. This ensures Clash Verge Rev runs in the background after every restart without manual intervention.

We also recommend enabling auto-start for "System Proxy" so the client automatically sets the proxy on startup.

Update Subscription Config

Providers often add or update nodes regularly. We recommend setting the update interval to every 24 hours. In the "Profiles" page, click the settings icon for your profile and set the "Auto Update" interval to 1440 minutes (24 hours).

You can also click the refresh button next to a profile at any time. If certain nodes suddenly stop working, a manual update usually solves the problem.

Why Choose Our Clash Verge Rev?

Many sites claim to offer Clash Verge Rev downloads, but some may provide tampered installers bundled with malware or ads. Compared to other channels, the version provided on this site has the following guarantees:

  • Verifiable Source: All installers come directly from official GitHub Releases, with SHA256 checksums provided.
  • Always Updated: We sync the latest versions immediately, ensuring you always have the latest security fixes.
  • Zero Bundling: Clean installers with no third-party ads or bundled plugins.
  • Full Platform Coverage: One-stop downloads for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

If you have used Clash clients from other sources and experienced frequent disconnections, failed updates, or abnormal latency, you may be using a modified, non-official version. We recommend redownloading the official clean version from this site.
